What is Jojoba Wax?

Jojoba Wax is a natural plant-based wax made from jojoba oil, extracted from the seeds of the jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinensis). While jojoba oil is liquid, Jojoba Wax is processed into a hard, waxy form. Available as off-white pearls, it is particularly easy to incorporate into formulations. With a melting point of 60–70°C, the wax functions as a technological aid and viscosity modifier, helps retain moisture and improve the skin’s flexibility, and is therefore a sustainable and vegan alternative to beeswax, paraffin and synthetic (micro)plastic waxes.
